Cement Division
CMS Cement Sdn Bhd
CMS Cement Sdn Bhd, Sarawak’s sole cement manufacturer, produces Portland Cement at two grinding plants – Kuching and Bintulu. Through an efficient distribution channel throughout Sarawak, CMS Cement is here to meet the needs of customers for strong and reliable cement.
To provide customers with greater choices and flexibility to suit their required needs, CMS Cement carries out R&D to produce other types of cement such as Portland Composite Cement and Portland Fly Ash Cement.
As one of the core businesses of Cahya Mata Sarawak Group since 1974, CMS Cement now enjoys the distinction of being an integrated cement manufacturer with seamless delivery enabled by direct access to raw materials, through clinker production and quarry operations.
Kuching Grinding Plant
Set up in 1978, the Kuching grinding plant is located on a 6-acre site at the Pending Industrial Estate in Kuching. It has an installed annual capacity of 1.0 million MT, and caters to the needs of Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman and Sibu divisions.
Sibu and Miri Bulk Terminals
The two cement plants are supported by 6,000 MT marine flat store terminals in Sibu and Miri via a custom-made pneumatic all-weather Bulk Cement Barge (BCB) where they are conveyed to a flat store.
Lawas Distribution Terminal
Bintulu Grinding Plant
Situated on a 7-hectare site at Tanjung Kidurong Industrial Estate, the Bintulu grinding plant was established in 1998. It has an annual production capacity of 750,000 MT, catering to the needs of the rapidly growing north-east region of Sarawak.
CMS Cement Industries Sdn Bhd
CMS Cement Industries Sdn Bhd, Sarawak’s sole clinker manufacturer and trader is situated on a 25-hectare site at Mambong, 28km southeast of Kuching city. The Mambong plant is an integrated facility which is able to produce 2,800 MT of clinker per day and 1.0 million MT of cement annually. The operations consist primarily of limestone quarrying, a raw mill for grinding, coal grinding and kiln burning. As of 30 November 2007, CMS Cement Industries is 100 percent owned by CMS Cement Sdn Bhd, which is part of the Cahya Mata Sarawak Group of companies.
CMS Concrete Products Sdn Bhd
CMS Concrete Products Sdn Bhd specialises in the manufacture of ready-mix concrete and precast concrete products including pre-stressed beams for bridges and other uses, reinforced concrete square piles, box culverts, kerbs, cement sand bricks and a range of Industrialised Building System (IBS) components including wall panels, precast columns and beams, half slabs, hollow blocks and staircases. As an IBS Solutions Provider, the company also provides turnkey IBS design and build solutions.
